Most worshipers probably are unaware of how much work goes into preparing a good worship service. Effective liturgy flows so smoothly that worshipers have no reason or inclination to wonder about its design or its designers. Worship itself is all that matters.

A few years ago Rev. Calvin Bolt underwent what he smilingly called a "liturgical conversion." Afterwards, Bolt took a new approach to the planning and practice of the worship service, an approach he found stimulating and beneficial for himself and his congregation.
