The reading of scripture is not to be taken lightly; it is, after all, the very words of God given to us. As such, if one is asked to read scripture, one should spend time with the passage making sure that it is fully understood as well as preparing how best to communicate the message which it contains. Sometimes a single reader is sufficient. Other times passages could be better understood with the use of multiple readers. Some contexts may lend themselves to a more dramatic presentation or through other creative methods. However scripture is delivered, the medium of a single speaker or that of a creative presentation should not overshadow the fact that this is the word of the Lord. Thanks be to God!
