There are at least two places in most worship services where it is particularly fitting to read portions or an adaptation of the Ten Commandments and commit to live holy lives. The first is following the assurance of pardon and the second as part of the sending, but that doesn’t mean that there wouldn’t be other occasions as well.
Having experienced God’s grace whether through the assurance of pardon or the service as a whole, it is natural to desire to follow God more fully. The Ten Commandments and other scripture that highlights God’s law are helpful guides for holy living and, as such, should be included regularly in worship. In addition there should be opportunity for those gathered to express their commitment to conform their life to Christ’s.
