Sending

God calls us to worship and God sends us forth with the Holy Spirit to live as Christ’s representatives here on earth. In many traditions God has both the first word in the call to worship and greeting and God has the last word in a blessing or benediction. The blessing should be received as God’s words mediated by a pastor and meant to encourage us as we go about our lives in the following week. We do not go alone; the triune God goes with us.
