Unless otherwise indicated, all material published by Reformed Worship is licensed under the copyright code: Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International abbreviated as CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. Non-Commercial Use 

For all worship contexts, or educational/informational purposes by worshiping communities, educational institutions, or other non-profit organizations: 

     Material Copyrighted by Reformed Worship

We grant permission for any article or service from Reformed Worship.org to be reprinted and reproduced for noncommercial use for worship purposes or by a worshiping community unless a specific copyright notice appears with that element. Proper credit must be given at least once on any reprinted or projected material. An example of an appropriate credit line is, [Author Name] © [Year] ReformedWorship.orgCC BY-NC-SA 4.0. Used by permission.   

We encourage readers to adapt resources for use in their own communities. When adapting, please include a credit line such as, “Adapted from [Author] © [Year] ReformedWorship.orgCC BY-NC-SA 4.0.  Used by permission.”

For academic citations —utilize the style required by your academic institution or publication. 

     Material Whose Copyright is not Held by Reformed Worship

Many smaller written worship elements such as prayers, particularly those coming from The Worship Sourcebook and the Book of Common Worship may be utilized for non-commercial purposes without needing to seek additional permission. Be sure to give credit to the original source in all such cases.

Music, art, video, written material, etc. that appears at ReformedWorship.org and whose copyright is not held by Reformed Worship may be reproduced only within the guidelines specified: 

  • If a song is copyrighted and covered under a copyright license such as CCLI, OneLicense, or LicenSing, then that license or direct permission from the copyright holder will be required to reprint.
  • If the material is covered with a Creative Commons indication, that work may be reprinted without permission or license. See the guidelines for Creative Commons 4.0—Non-Commercial-ShareAlike designation. Please give proper credit to the composer or artist in these cases.
  • If neither of the above is evident and the copyright is held by a specific individual or company/organization, then permission must be attained directly from that source. 

For use on a Website or E-magazine

To share any article or part of an article from Reformed Worship in an online publication or website, permission is granted to insert a link to the page from our website. Permission is not given to copy and paste the article or resource without seeking permission from Reformed Worship. 

For Commercial Purposes

To publish any article or part of an article from Reformed Worship in any format that will be available for purchase, permission must be sought from Reformed Worship and any additional copyright holder.
